It’s beginning to feel soooo deliciously fall.

I hope whatever you are doing this weekend, you’re able to enjoy these first fleeting days of vibrant color and brisk fall breezes. Our little family is going to go hike to look at some lovely leaves this weekend, weather permitting! Hope you get to do something just as fun!

Here’s a few more ideas to add loveliness to your weekend. 🙂

Adorn: Dry your Hydrangeas and Enjoy them Forever

When you think fall flowers, sunflowers and mums generally come to mind. But did you know that right now is the perfect time to harvest your hydrangea blossoms and enjoy them…forever? That’s right, dried hydrangea blossoms are supposed to last indefinitely! Use your forever blooms in wreaths, projects, or in simple vase. Either way, they will look lovely. Watch: Two Fun Movies at Redbox

If you’re like me and actually going to the movies is a carefully scheduled event instead of an every-weekend treat, you’ll find a movie doesn’t really “open” until it’s available for rent! This week I’m so excited that not one, but TWO movies I really wanted to see are available at Redbox: Paris Can Wait, and Wonder Woman. Watch Trailers, get info, and find a box here.

Listen: Dan Wilson, Recovered

I love Dan Wilson’s gentle voice. And I love that he is one of those rare songwriters whom you just hear their work and think: “what would it be like to just churn out amazingness like that all the time?” You might only know Dan Wilson from his band Semisonic (and their massive hit Closing Time) But what you might not know is that Wilson is a massively prolific songwriter, composing beautiful pieces not only for himself, but for artists as varied as Adele, Chris Stapleton, and Taylor Swift.

He’s gathered a bunch of these gorgeous songs together and recorded them himself on the aptly named Recovered. I haven’t heard the whole thing yet, but what I have heard is super promising! Hoping to check out more this weekend. Read more about this great album here.

Have you any tips for this weekend? I would love to hear what you are listening to, watching, making, and otherwise enjoying as we head into October!
